Acuity Trading is thrilled to introduce the talented and dedicated Adrià Vaquer as the newest addition to our Data Science Team.
Currently in the final stages of completing his Informatics Engineering degree at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona, Adrià has joined us through the Acuity/UPC student internship programme. This initiative highlights our dedication to making a meaningful impact on society while nurturing the future workforce.
Expressing his passion for utilising cutting-edge technology to tackle real-world challenges, machine learning specialist Adrià has an impressive portfolio. From developing the Moveefy Android app, which integrates Barcelona's transportation schedules, to creating engaging games like Hell Explorer and Minecraft Run, and working on SentIA Web to enhance machine learning through in-depth analysis of audio sentiment and emotion.
During his internship, Adrià will be focusing on building a specialised AI computing model that can effectively rank stocks by considering Fundamental, Technical, and Sentiment data. He will be working alongside our Data Science team based in Barcelona and led by Professor Argimiro Arratia and Ariel Duarte López, Ph.D.
With the increasing importance of AI and robotics in society and the economy, it is crucial to cultivate skilled computer science professionals who can innovate in specialised fields.
Reflecting on his academic journey to date, Adrià shared, "I have a strong foundation in programming languages, algorithms, and data structures, and I am eager to continue learning and evolving in the realm of new technologies to become the best version of myself."
